Myrtle Beach Kayaking Tips and Tricks

Packing for your Myrtle Beach Kayak Tour

Kayaking is one of many great activities to do in Myrtle Beach. When you book your kayak tour with Glass Bottom Kayak Tours, we want you to be equipped properly, so you and your family can enjoy the sights and sounds of the Grand Strand.

One of the most important things to bring on your kayak tour is sunscreen. Applying a layer of sunscreen before departing on your kayak tour can help ensure your family stays protected on the water. Our guides will stop at least one time during your tour so everyone can reapply.

Another protective item that every member of your party will need for your kayak tour is a pair of closed-toed shoes. Some parties choose to purchase inexpensive water shoes from one of the local beachwear stores. Shoes will help protect your feet from the sun, mud, and shells along our shoreline.

Many guests on our kayak tours also bring personal bottles of water or another beverage along on their Myrtle Beach kayak tour. While our guides have bottles of water available- many people bring their own beverages. All we ask is that guests bring plastic bottles (no glass or aluminum cans, please). Recycling bins are available at the dock to deposit your used bottles at the end of the tour.

Sunglasses are another items we recommend you bring with you. Sunny days in Myrtle Beach can be very bright, and when the sun reflects off of the water, the glare can be very bright.

Lastly, bring a camera! The sights around Myrtle Beach are amazing. Bringing a camera along will help you and your family remember all of the things you see on your Myrtle Beach kayak tour. Just make sure your camera is protected from the water.

We know that you have many choices of things to do in Myrtle Beach, and we are excited that you have chosen to spend a little time with us on your Myrtle Beach kayak tour.
